Overview
Bihar Police Sub-Ordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released an official recruitment advertisement for the post of Adhinayak Anudeshak (Adhinayak Instructor) under the Home Department (Special Branch), Government of Bihar, within the Bihar Home Guard service cadre. The selection process aims to fill 122 vacant positions through a direct recruitment drive open to eligible male, female, and third-gender Indian citizens. Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent and meet specified age criteria and physical standard measurements. The selection procedure comprises two main phases: a written examination and a physical efficiency test. Step 2: Click on the application link for Advertisement No. 05/2026.

Step 3: Complete Part-1 Registration by entering candidate's name, nationality, mobile number, email ID, Bihar domicile, category, gender, and date of birth.

Step 4: Pay the prescribed examination fee of Rs. 100 online through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.

Step 5: Log in using the Registration ID and Password received via SMS and Email.

Step 6: Complete Part-2 of the application form by entering father's name, mother's name, address, and educational qualifications.

Step 7: Upload scanned passport-size photograph (15–25 KB, white background) and signatures in Hindi and English (15–25 KB each, white background).

Who can apply
12th Pass
Passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognized board on or before 01-08-2025.
Age relaxation
Unreserved (UR)
Standard age limit without any category-based relaxation.
General
Maximum age is 37 years for Unreserved males and 40 years for Unreserved females as of 01-08-2025.
Obc
Maximum age is 40 years for OBC/EBC male, female, and transgender candidates as of 01-08-2025.
Sc
Maximum age is 42 years for SC male and female candidates as of 01-08-2025.
St
Maximum age is 42 years for ST male and female candidates as of 01-08-2025.
Ews
Age rules as applicable to Unreserved category.
Government Employee
5 years upper age relaxation for Bihar government employees with minimum 3 years of regular service.
Ex Servicemen
Age relaxation equivalent to defense service period plus 3 years, subject to max age limit of 57 years on cutoff date.
